Overview
AstroCubic ("we") explains how Orbit Calendar (the "app") handles information. The app does not use account creation, advertising-identifier-based tracking, or our own analytics tools.
Location information
The app uses your device's current location only when you grant permission. It is used to calculate the direction of the observed sky, positions above and below the horizon, and sunrise and sunset.
- Location is used for on-device calculations and is not stored on or transmitted to our servers.
- The app does not continuously track location in the background.
- You can use a default location or an in-app simulated city without granting location permission.
- You can change permission at any time in iOS or iPadOS Settings.
Information processed by the app
Dates, times, selected observing cities, and display settings are processed on your device to perform astronomy calculations and display results. We do not collect these values or link them to a user account.
Network requests and third-party services
The app may send network requests to public astronomy data providers, including NASA JPL Horizons, CelesTrak, and AMSAT, to refresh planetary positions and International Space Station (ISS) orbit data. Location, name, email address, and account information are not sent to us through these requests.
Because these are internet requests, the providers and network operators may process technical information such as IP address and request time under their own policies.
Tracking, advertising, and sale
The app contains no advertising SDK, behavioral analytics SDK, or cross-app tracking feature. We do not sell personal information or share it for third-party advertising.
